
Nicaragua is the largest country of Central America in area. It extends from the Pacific Ocean to the Caribbean Sea. On the north borders with Honduras and on he south with Costa Rica. If we made a comparison, Nicaragua is slightly smaller than New York state.

(The Island of Hispaniola was the first Spanish settlement in the New World.)
