Dr. David Copenhaver
Dr. Copenhaver obtained his BS and BA from UC Davis (Magna Cum Laude), and his MD and MPH from UCLA. He completed his internship at UCLA Hospital, his anesthesiology residency at Columbia University, and his pain fellowship at UC Davis. He is currently a Pain Medicine Specialist in Northern California.
Dr. Copenhaver is founder and CEO of the non-profit group Dengue Relief Foundation (denguerelief.org). In this role, he has developed several new initiatives, including a program to provide ambulances and other medical supplies to rural hospitals, a fellowship for medical students to practice clinical medicine in Nicaragua, and helped organize surgical missions for pediatric reconstructive surgery in cooperation with Healing the Children.
He is also an accomplished researcher and several of his articles have been published in world-renowned journals. His current interests include cardiac angina and epidural stimulators and the use of technology to improve operating room patient flow. |
