Nelson Estrada Solórzano

Following conclusion of the Bachelors of Science at UC Berkeley and an MBA at the Harvard Business School, Mr. Estrada worked during two decades in three enterprises that were in banking (Citibank) and as Director of Finance & Administration at two large conglomerates (VALCO of Monterrey and CIFRA of Mexico).

At Citibank, Mr. Estrada raised the loan portfolio by a factor of 10 during a 6 year period recovering the financial relationships with large multinationals operating in Brazil. At both VALCO and CIFRA, he was in charge of improving efficiencies in the Financial and Administrative areas.

During the last 18 years he established an enterprise in construction and real state development where his achievements include the building of many high end homes including a closed-in community considered one of the best in the country. He built and operated a Boutique Hotel- La Casona de los Estrada- that won praise from the New York Times and Conde Nast Travelers Magazine. Mr. Estrada’s Signature Project is the currently underway - SOLEST Hotel and Wellness Center situated in the Pacific Beach of San Juan del Sur. This extraordinary venture includes two phases, one the building of a Medical Center with 3 OR’s and other areas for patients to receive first class care in the hands of well known surgeons from the US. The second phase will see a 4-Star hotel with breathtaking views of the Pacific Beach.

David Copenhaver

Dr. David Copenhaver

Dr. Copenhaver obtained his BS and BA from UC Davis (Magna Cum Laude), and his MD and MPH from UCLA. He completed his internship at UCLA Hospital, his anesthesiology residency at Columbia University, and his pain fellowship at UC Davis. He is currently a Pain Medicine Specialist in Northern California.

Dr. Copenhaver is founder and CEO of the non-profit group Dengue Relief Foundation (denguerelief.org). In this role, he has developed several new initiatives, including a program to provide ambulances and other medical supplies to rural hospitals, a fellowship for medical students to practice clinical medicine in Nicaragua, and helped organize surgical missions for pediatric reconstructive surgery in cooperation with Healing the Children.

He is also an accomplished researcher and several of his articles have been published in world-renowned journals. His current interests include cardiac angina and epidural stimulators and the use of technology to improve operating room patient flow.
